London... It sounds so far, doesn't it? Well it is far because I can remember perfectly the eleven hour journey from Subang Airport to Heathrow, London. Same as the previous year, my family and I only had this chance because my dad had work to do there and also in the States and Canada earlier. So the three of us made our way to LONDON and arrived on the 26th of October 1995 to meet my daddy there. We were there with my dad's friend who also brought along his clan which included six kids. We stayed at  the Selfridge Hotel and I remember having quite okay Malaysian food. Hey, as much as I love to experience new food there is no denying that Malaysian food is still the best for me (besides being Halal). During the day we just walked around London and for some reason we were not afraid to do so.

After three days of walking around London, my family and I made our way to France, specifically to EURODISNEY in Paris. We went there by Eurostar, a train that connects England and France that went under the English Channel. It was a very interesting journey as the scenery changed from city to country and then to water. I spent my time playing cards with the other kids on board.

When we arrived at Eurodisney I was not as thrilled compared to when I first stepped into Tokyo Disneyland because it was my second time at a Disneyland. However this trip was different because we stayed there for three whole days. It was really cold but the scene was...magical. I felt as if I was in one of Disney's fairytale and I'm the princess (permission to laugh granted). This time around I was able to go on more rides (because I was older, not taller *cough*). Nevertheless, I had a lot of fun there. It was total heaven for me.

After three days, my magical journey ended as we moved from fantasy world to the real world. I remember as we were entering PARIS my mum specifically said, "No shopping in Paris, it's too expensive." *cries* Anyway, it was still an amazing trip as I was able to visit one of the magnificent architectures of the world, the Eiffel Tower. It was scary on the way up because of its structure but when I was up there it was breathtaking. Obviously, my dad had to lift me to see through the binoculars. Besides that we also went to the Louvre (famous for its cameo in the Da Vinci Code) and on one of the nights we walked our way to the Arch de Triumph. I was a bit older therefore I was able to appreciate their history, architecture, and culture. The other culture of French people that I learned was that it was hard to find halal meal so believe it or not I had to eat kebab for three days! Thank God we quickly went back to London.

This time instead of taking the train back, we took the ferry instead. Back in London we did a lot more visiting this time. We went to Trafalgar Square where there were lots and lots of pigeons! I was scared at first when these pigeons 'attacked' me for food but after a while I enjoyed seeing them pecking on my arm. We also took the double-decker bus to Westminster Abbey and Hyde Park. Fortunately, my mum allowed me to shop a bit in London so I went and bought myself FOUR dolls of characters from Pocahontas (two of herself), a few tapes of Disney movies I haven't watched and a whole lot of chocolates and sweets to bring back home.

London and Paris were definitely two of the best destinations I've been to but that did not stop of from going to our next trip - Bali and Perth!
